We are now able to run routine blood chemistries and blood counts in-house in just a few minutes. The Abaxis VetScan HM5 does cbcs with a complete 5 part differential count in 3 minutes, while the VetScan VS2 does many types of chemistry profiles in just 20 minutes.
Both machines need very small amounts of blood, making blood collection less uncomfortable for your pet. Feline Leukemia, Feline Aids and Lyme Disease tests are also done in-house.
For other laboratory tests we get specimen pick ups twice daily from one of the largest veterinary labs in the country, providing overnight results for most tests.
