Over 80% of all dogs and cats over the age of 1 year have some
dental disease, ranging from simple tartar and plaque accumulation up
toperiodontal disease, broken teeth, cavities, and infection.
Heavy calculus deposits at the left uppor forth premolar tooth. Notice
the severe gingival inflamation. The desease stage cannot be
determined with dental radiographs and probing. |
